microwave surf on a 13-6

I have a rod to build a 13ft 6inch surf rod . does the complete set of 8 guide also come with a spacing chart and how many extra guides would I need to purchase to build this rod.

I don't think so , the maker of the blank should have a guide spacing

For memory I used and extra 2 guides on the 13'6 surf rods and have built a couple with the surfcaster guides, for the guide spacing I did ask American tackle and they were working on this but did give a good starting point for your first three guides, from there it was quite easy to static test and place guides. Maybe they have a revised guide placement now as it was sometime ago I built them.

David... You will need some extra running guides for a 13-6 rod....

For the MicroWave 50 set we are still working on instructions to go with them but I have a range for the 3 guides closest to the reel to get you started.

From the lip of the spool extended out.....

Stripper Guide: 28-32"
Transition Guide: 45-48"
Running Guide: 55-59"

Static test the rest of the running guides and test cast.
