Has anyone fished both, and is there a large difference? I like the RX6 in the lighter weights, but have not fished one in a 6 or 8 wt. yet (building an 8 wt. currently). Thanks - Marc Keep it simple - that's all I can handle! Re: Fly blanks - RX6 or Revelation?

There is a difference, the Revelation is a faster action and is noticeable in the heavier weights. As I am usually casting more line with the heavier rods, I personally prefer the faster action. Like you, I also like the RX6 in lighter weights and find many of my customers do as well. How large the difference is, is a personal judgement. Re: Fly blanks - RX6 or Revelation?

I am looking to build a 8 or 10wt. for salt water and was wanting to know what would be a good blank. I have built several 4 and 5 wt. rods using the RX6 blanks and really like them. Any suggestions for a 8 or 10 wt. blank? Re: Fly blanks - RX6 or Revelation?

Try an American Tackle Bushido Fly blank. A little more moderate action, and a great blank to fish. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
