Question on Clemens 4 spool

An earlier post reminded me of a question I have on my 4spool thread device with my new Clemens lathe. The posts that the spool gets put on are longer on one side than on the other. On one side I can't hardly get a standard spool on it with all the spacers, washers and wingnut and by removing one of the spacers, can't apply enough tension, the wingnut "bottoms out" so to speak. Yet, on the other side, I can put everything on and have plenty of room. Is this normal? could the posts be offset accidently? I know I should probably email Clemens directly, but figured I would get a quicker response here. Thanks and Happy wrapping. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
