Quickline Popping Blanks - 842 or 843

Anyone fishing the Quickline Popping blanks, 842 or 843, and how are you liking them? I have spent more time with the spin jigs, but looking at the popping blanks a little more.

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

I have an 842. Not quite as stiff down low as the spin jigs, but still a fast taper.

I have an 842 to. It is my go to rod when fishing for Perch and Pike with jigs and I love the way it bends during a fish fight . As Tom said the QLP series is not as stiff on the middle and butt section as the spin jigs but that's just the reason I like it for. It has a more progressive action and bends more naturally under load but it is still a fast action rod overall. It is working best with 7-11 grams jig heads combined with 3"&4" soft plastics. I've also fished an QLP 843 which is working best with 11-14 grams jig heads and same kind of soft plastics. If you are looking for fish with bony mouths like Zander you might wanna go with the SJ series for better hoking the fish but if you are looking for fun during a fish fight QLP Series is a pleasure to fish with.
