It was a very good brand. They disappeared a couple decades ago. The remainder of their inventory was bought by REC.

DaIfvid,Tom, Varmac is still doing bussiness on the West Coast since1953 as VARMAC MFG COMPANY. They have an active website but only sell to distributers. If anyone is interested I have N.O.S. reelseats and guides. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/08/2015 11:23PM by Dennis Danku. Re: Varmac guides

David:
Varmac also made quality reel seats, most of the high end salt water production rods in the 1970's had Varmac RS-2 and RS-3 reel seat, They were great reel seats and very durable. Rich Kline Custom Rods Re: Varmac guides

I still have a bunch of the Varmac chrome platted brass reel seats. I have never had to replace one on a rod I built. Great guides also. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
