Anyone ever build a Talon ITM fly blank or know much about them? VI Plus?
I am having them lay up a 4 piece 9 foot 8 weight on the mandrel they use for their VI Plus (IM6) rods, but using intermediate modulus graphite. So technically, it is a VI Plus fly rod using the ITM graphite. (They had only a 9'9" 8 weight in the ITM line). Thanks, Tony Re: Talon ITM and VI Plus Fly Blanks

The ITM will be a crisper rod the VI Plus. It won't make the rod faster but it will recover a tad faster and the blank will tighten up a bit higher in the blank. They make great blanks and not many know about them. Which model # did you get? Re: Talon ITM and VI Plus Fly Blanks

John -
They are taking mandrel for VI PLUS travel blank, 4 PC, 9 foot 8 weight and using Intermediate graphite. Not a standard model but with them, it appears there is no such thing! Thanks Re: Talon ITM and VI Plus Fly Blanks
