The light CTS surf blanks are awesome. Scott at Fishsticks had some at the show. They are light and very responsive

I built a 9' Fiberstar SB1087, Predator series, very happy with it. It has a good feel and will cast your 2 oz with no problem (just check my neighbor's tree). It is rated 1-4 but loads easy so you can fish something lighter if you need to.

Century has a 1145 which is 9'6" and is a fast action, CTS has CB901 in a 1pc and 2 pc and are fast action and Fiber Star Composites has a 1086-2 moderate fast and a 1086, 1087 1pc which are fast moderate actions. I have not tried the new Lamiglas Infinity in a 9' yet but the old SSU 1081L and M were great all around 9' blanks. The GSB 108L is another but is moderate at best.. The GSB 1081M is too stiff for most and for 2oz isn't great IMO. I have not tried any of the St Croix 9' rods but I like the MOJo blank you just can't buy them. The Legend is ok not my style but I've only tried the 10'6"!
