Here we go, I was just given a Plate Type Reel seat, asked to put on a "SJ841-MHX" blank. Now I have a way to put the grips on , but the reel seat I'm not so sure about . Will PRO KOTE PASTE ADHESIVE on the ends , then over wrap with size D thread , then finish off with epoxy. Will that be strong enough to hold reel seat in place under pressure in fishing? Thank's for the help you all!!!!!!!!

It does not require any adhesive. Wrap and finish as usual. You could not possibly tear it off the rod.

If you're talking about the MicroWave system, there have been several pages of discussion about it here on this forum this past week.
I'd consult their website and use their spacing recommendations as a starting point. ............. Re: Fuji Reel Seat

On the microwave system , I just built a 7 ft. rod and used their guide spacing suggestion on the Mud Hole website. I taped the guides on for a tryout and it worked beautifully. Not all blanks are the same so I would suggest. Trying it before you epoxy them on.

Hello Richard.
Sorry for the pic but I am new with the camera stuff. [www.rodbuilding.org]] Well there it is, I laid down a red yelllow & blue marble let it dry set the seat down and wraped it with white "D" then marbled with yellow green & black. Hope you like it. Happy seat setting. Bob, New Bern, NC. Edited 4 time(s). Last edit at 10/01/2012 12:16PM by Robert A. Guist. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
