To further answer your question. Loomis is not the only one with new Crankbait Blanks. St. Croix has a new line in the SC3 series. Rainshadow has composite crank bait blanks. Lamiglas has a couple models in the Perigee Series, along with a couple in their Composite Series of blanks, the "S" glass series and a Black Fiberglass series. Most all popping action blanks also make great crank bait or crankin' rods.
