Crankbait Rodblank comparison

Hello,

can someone compare the Action from the Batson CB66MH with the St.Croix 3C66MHM?
Is the "Mod-Fast" from the Batsonblank more moderate or more fast?
I am planning to use Braid for my new Crankbaitrod and can't decide between these 2 blanks ...

Regards, Jan

If using braid you might want to consider a glass blank. The Lamiglass SR705 rod is an awsome deep cranking and trap blank.

Hello,

thank you for the answer.

My little problem is, that I like to order in Europe and the 2 blanks I can get here. So I have to decide between these.

Thanks, Jan

I cannot compare the actions between the two blanks.
The Batson Rainshadow is more moderate than fast and is very braid friendly. The CB (Crankbait) series is very popular in the rainshadow line.
St Croix makes great blanks. I am sure you would be happy with either one.

The Batson CB is a great blank. I have 5 myself and build on this blank all of the time for others. Not sure about the St Croix but you won't go wrong with the Batson!

Keep agonizing over these two and forget glass. There may be a glass blank, but I've never found it, that can compare with graphite for weight, and graphite can match any action of glass. IMHO

Hello!

Since today I can also order the MHX blanks in my country.

So the MHX CB845-Blend is also a possibility to order for me.

Can someone say something about this blank?

Thanks!

Jan
