Wood workers/turners help needed

If someone has the means to bore a straight 3/4" hole in a 1.5" x 1.5" x 13" and a 5/8 hole in a 10" piece of ebony, email me if you would, I'd appreciate it. I'm not setup to do it and am having trouble finding someone local.

Thanks

Phil

Philip - Where are you located? Anyone with a lathe & extension bed and a 4-jaw chuck could do this.

Chuck

I'm in the Tampa bay area, Florida. I haven't had allot of luck finding someone but I'm sure they're around. Something I hadn't thought about was an extension bed so I'll look into one tomorrow.

Phil
Look up "Woodcraft" the web site shows one in Tampa. If they can't help you in the store they may point you in the right direction.

This weekend Tampa fair grounds the wood working show, many turners from tri county and suncoast wood turners will be there doing demos, I do think you will need to find someone who does lamps as a long bit will be needed

John B: Just for you!

I made the mistake of talking to Mr. Schlisinger in High Point.

He advised me to move away from hand reaming all components.

He convinced me that I would save a lot of effort and time if I bought a lathe and all the tools needed.

Only needed to ream cork - bore EVA butt caps - shape rubberized butt caps - ream seats

They saw me coming!

Bought everything they put on the table - turned nothing down!

I may be able to figure out which end of this thing is which and what some of the tools before I enter the nursing home.

It is all put together sitting on an nice rolling steel table - those who enter my shop now think I am a custom rodbuilder!

Waiting for Lance or Bobby F. to appear and show me how to drive this thing!

I just found out most of the chucks they sold me are for making custom bowls to hold my tears.

They are having fun behind my back giggling!

Gon Fishn!

In addition, you can always do some internet You tube searches for some pretty good video demos of good ways to utilize your new machine.

A salesman out selling Swamplands "Mr. Salesman". Wow! He must be good.

I`ll give you 50 cents on the dollar if you pay the shipping.

That could be doing you a real favor.

You`re always good for a chuckle.
