NYLON Sizes A, 00, c, d, e ... Which is which ?

c, d, e ,... Are these sizes for heavy spinning rods ONLY ? Any particular porpuse for each one ? For Graphite flyrods, any difference? on #3/4 wt. to #8/9 wt. BLANKS ? THANKS !!! Re: NYLON Sizes A, 00, c, d, e ... Which is which ?

You can use any size thread you wish. Most builders prefer to use smaller thread as it gives a cleaner appearance. For general purposes, 00 and A are normally used on fly rods and most light power rods. D is found on the larger and more powerful saltwater rods. The in between sizes such as B and C are only found in limited colors and places now, but can be useful when A seems too small and D too large. But for most builders, A and D are the primary sizes in use today. ............................ Re: NYLON Sizes A, 00, c, d, e ... Which is which ?
