Their fly guides are the best, both single and double foot.

I have no experience with their stripper or spinning guides.

You will find them on factory rods from both St Croix and G Loomis ... that speaks volumes. IMO, they work very well - although I always use a ceramic top.

Great fly guides. Agree with Jim on the tip top and a ceramic ring. Less stress on fly line. The new REC Black Pearls are nice as well supposed to be a tad slicker

I build spinning rods with Recoils all of the time. I have never had any problems at all. Very light! I use American tackle light tops.

I did a pair of rods for a friend using the Black Pearl REC spin guides and Fuji FST Gunsmoke SiC Tops. Perfect match!

Titanium is dull silver, the black pearl are very dark charcoal grey.

REC guides are great, but tip-tops, not so much. If you use REC light snake guides be advised they are very flexible. They return to their original shape and are virtually unbreakable, but it is possible to sufficiently compress them longitudinally that one guide foot will completely slip out from under its wraps.
