One of my project this fall is to restore my father in laws bamboo rod. I pretty much know what I need to do but dont know what brand glue to use to re- laminate two areas that are comming apart. the rod is a 2 piece7' 3wt or 4wt best I can tell. Many thanks & Happy wrapping "John" Re: Glue to relaminate a bamboo blank

I believe you want to use a Urea type glue. It is a powder you mix into an adhesive. Allows strength but good flexibility. But I am not sure. If you will use the link to the left and go to the Golden Witch web site, they will have exactly what you need. Re: Glue to relaminate a bamboo blank

The glue you are after is URAC 185 or its equivalent. Goldenwitch has an equivalent. Re: Glue to relaminate a bamboo blank

I use devcon 30 minute epoxy works great, some people use Gorrilla glue Carpenters wood glue, {waterproof} I have tried quite a few but Devcon works best for me.. Thanks Dave Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
