Since this is a new board with new members I thought I might bring up the question of interest in ordered grips with larger than a 1" I.D. If there is any interest, let me know and we will try to make some arraingments with one of the dealers on board.

Essentially I am looking for 1 1/16, 1 1/8, 1 3/16, etc. Just can't afford a 100 pieces at a time. Would be nice to be able to get 24" pieces.

Man what kind of rods are you wrapping? Telephone poles? Just kidding. Since I went to using mostly graphite for all my rods I don't run into anything with a butt OD that large. And on those that are kinda big I have gone to using the cork tape. I like the way it helps keep the butt OD as small as possible.

Mike isn't talking about rod Blanks with an OD of larger than 1 inch. I think he is looking for cork or other Handle Material with an OD of 1 inch or greater.

The ID of this matrial may be only 1/4" or 3/8", etc. This would be the OD of the Blank.

He plainly says he is looking for grips with an ID of larger than 1 inch. I would assume that means he is mounting them on rods with a very large butt diameter. Either way I don't use them that large but surely there are enough you who do that maybe you could all go in together on a large enough order to make it worth somebody's order.

Like you, I can't think of anything other than long surf rods that would use a 1 3/8 I.D.
