LS Supreme over LS 2000

Any concerns about putting a coat of LS Supreme over a coat of LS 2000? I have a kit of LS 2000 left over. I was thinking of using it as my first of two coats, since it penetrates so well and dissipates bubbles like nothing else. I'd then top it with LS Supreme to create the overall shape that I desire.

Thoughts?

Bob

You can certainly do this if you want to. There is nothing in the Supreme that will undermine the 2000, or vice versa. If you are waiting longer than a few days between applications, use a piece of gray ScotchBrite to knock the sheen off the previous application before apply the next one.

One thing to consider, is that the Supreme is a bit more resistant to yellowing over time. It may remain water clear, but the 2000 under it may still discolor slightly. But, if it's not causing you any problems there is no reason to waste that 2000. The two finishes share many of the same qualities such as good penetration and bubble release.
