I like to try and print out those posts which I think will help me with future problems. It's getting tough with all the activity. I miss some of the posts as I travel and can't always check the board on a daily basis. So my question is, how far back will this board's archives keep posts? By my calculations, you now have about 3,500 posts in a little over 3 months so about a thousand posts per month. Is there some limit to what the archives will hold? If I knew the archives would always contain all the posts ever made I wouldn't worry so much about printing out some of them. I could just come here and find what I need. Please inform. Thank you. Ray, Your calculations are pretty darn close! We're at 3320 posts in just over 3 months. At this rate we're looking at about 12,000 to 13,000 posts in our first year. Luckily, text files don't require a lot of server space so the archives should extend back to the very beginning for some time. Nothing wrong with printing out what you think will be useful, but the posts are all safe and within easy reach thru this board's search function. I would like to mention to those new to this place that before you ask a question you might do a search on the topic you are interested in. I am not trying to deter anyone from posting, but there is so much information contained in our archives that you do not want to shortchange yourself of what has been said previously on just about any subject. Give it a try. You may be amazed at how much information has been shared here. .................................. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
