Hello all,
I am new to this hobby and was wondering if I can use Devcon 2 ton epoxy for rod wraps? I have used it for crankbait finish and have it on hand.
Thanks
Lou

That epoxy is an adhesive. You want to use a finish epoxy for the rod wraps. Finish epoxy will flex with the rod.

It is not the proper type of epoxy for wraps. As said before it is an adhesive, whereas the wrap type is more of a casting resin. Devcon or other adhesives besides being "off color" do not level like wrap epoxy.

Those are probably the more popular finishes available.

I wouldn't! like already said, it's an adhesive, Rod finish is a type of casting resin
