I recently completed a surf rod with a snakeskin inlay on the blank and was pleased with the result. I have no idea of the technical difficulties involved with "curing" a snakeskin, but a brook-trout inlay on a fly rod reel seat would be really sweet. I hope someone is pursuing such a possibility. JP,
Judging by his post, I think he may be looking for tanned fish skin. I think it was Billy V. who knows a guy who's tampering with this. But if I recall correctly, all he was working with was SW fish. May Billy will read this and chime in. Bill in WV Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
