Just got my first Rainshadow blank from Custom Tackle. It's an 8 footer for 5 wt line that I'll be building for a fishing buddy just getting into fly fishing. I'm impressed with the translucent dark green finish and what appears to be a smooth progressive action. If it fishes as good as it looks, there'll be more Rainshadow's in this rod builder's future. By the way, I've been doing business with Custom Tackle for several years now and they're top notch. Re: First Rainshadow Rod Blank

Eric, I'll have to agree with you wholeheartedly about the quality of Rainshadow blanks, that is the main reason we have included the line up in our offerings to rodbuilders as a business and also use them in our own custom rodbuilding. I don't have the opportunity for building as many rods as would like or have time for, but finding blanks of such quality and value is extraordinary. What I find best is the consitency and excellent flawless finish of the Rainshadow Blanks we receive and are proud to offer as a quality product for our customers in Canada. I hear nothing but good about them and am glad to hear of your positive comments. Alongside our preferences with St. Croix and Shikari, the Rainshadow models of blanks will keep us very satisfied and in good company. The company of Batson Enterprises who makes the Rainshadow blanks available for us to offer our customers are high ranking in the world of robuilding components and a pleasure to know folks who are serious in taking care of the needs of custom rodbuilders with quality product. Happy Rodbuilding, Rich Richard's Rod & Reel p.s. Our new catalogue will soon be available for mailing. Email us for your interest in obtaining a copy by mail.
