Good call - no internet access for me. I really appreciate the concern.

Unfortunately, I walked into work (120 Broadway) about 10 minutes after the first plane hit, looked out the window and was shocked to see the WTC building on fire. I turned around to walk to my desk - 10 steps maybe - and the next plane hit. My building shook and I thought I was about to die. When I saw what happened, I "knew" wat was going on. I went right back downstairs and took the 4 train home. I got home in time to see the Pentagon get hit, and I heard both buildings collapse.

My family did lose 1 friend that we know about so far. I've known him for about 15 years. He normally works in NJ, but he had a meeting at teh WTC - on the 102nd floor. Haven't heard from him yet. My girlfriend's excompany, Marsh-Mcclennen (sp?) had an office uptown (where she used to work), and 5 floors in teh WTC - 96-101. 1,200 people unaccounted for from that company alone.

I have 2 friends (thank God we have the same work habits) who work from Smith Barney - above teh 100th floor. Both, at different times, went to get something to eat when the planes hit. They were lucky.

Right now my concern is that that 1 Liberty Street building collapsing. The ground is un-stable. MY building is about 200 feet from the Southeast corner of that building.

I feel for those who have lost family and friends - I send my condolences to all who ave been affected.

Billy,
I only know you from your posts, but thank God that you are alive.
I guess we have all learned from this tragedy that we never know
if tomorrow will come out way. We should make the most of every
day we have and cherish those around us! My condolences for the friend you lost--- Ed / Summer Moon

Glad to see, I am OK. We were worried about your safety. I guess we feel like family although we only see each other once or twice each year. The bond with this group is very strong and I guess that is what makes it so important. Thinking about you and the other people so close to the tragedy.

Great to hear you're OK, brah! You should pop in on the other board to say "Howdy" I'm sure the other guys will also be glad to hear from you!
I thank God for those who were lucky enough to survive and I pray to Him for those that didn't and their families.
I was one of the fortunate ones as well, my daughter works in Midtown at the Palace Hotel. Her company's corporate headquarters were in the WTC complex.
Aloha,
Jim
