I would think most of us who post here do so because we need some help and hope to learn something. I'm on my 20th rod and still learn something everytime I build another one. I am glad to see this particular site and know it will be the best around in short order.

As REELDOC says hope you will put up with us Rookies.
No such thing as a silly question, only that it is sillier to keep it to yourself!

Whether you have built 1 or 1,000 rods, I think there will always be room to learn more. This should be a good forum.

Reel Doc:
I have been buildind rods for over 20 yrs. Recently I had a problem with epoxy finish never encountered before. With the help of Tom K I was able to correct the problem . EVERYONE who is into rod building has questions, be them simple and easy or complex. My suggestion is Fire Away. We as rod builders are more than happy to sahre about our art, which this is.
This message board is a fantasti idea. I am adding this to my favorite at work and home.
Great job Tom!!!!

Hey Doc, I'm going into my 17th year, and i still run into a few problems. This is common in rod building as the fishing rod progress's. Your "silly" questions will most likely have a straight answer. Texas Sidewinder Rods
