I was wondering if someone can explain to me how you make the small trim wraps just before the guide wraps, and where you get info on Sully's rod wrapper . thanks

i got my sully,s from anglers work shop,it works great.

the small single strand trim threads are done by binding a length of thread along with a pull through under the start of the normal bind (tape helps to hold it all in place). after about the usual 5 or six wraps of your normal bind you lay your pull through over the top of your bind, trim off the tail of your dress thread and continue your bind to the end. Once that is done you go back do the single wrap of your trim thread and feed it through the pull through that you put in place for this at the start. a tip is to put the pull through on the down wrap side of the trim thread otherwise your trim thread wont go all the way around the blank.

I make one wrap of the trim thread were I need it, then continue on up a ways with widend wraps.
Tape it in place if you wish.
Then start your main thread wrapping right over the top of that single trim wrap next to the beginning one trim wrap.
No pull through loop is needed this way.
