I just got some unpanted blanks in. What can of paint do I use and is there anything I should put over the blank after I paint it before building the rod. Where will I be able to get these items. Thanks Re: Un -panted blanks

Do a search here on items like "finishing" or "painting" and I think you will uncover a ton of good info on how to paint and finish those blanks. I am thinking you would be well advised to try to use some color pigment in a urethane and complete the painting and finishing in one step. There was a thread on how to do this here on this board within the past few weeks. A quick search should uncover it. ...................... Re: Un -panted blanks

Question why would you want to paint a new blank? I have done older rods by scuffing the blank with scotch bright (gray color) pad then painting it with a auto urithane color..Personaly I think it is a pain to do it my self. So I take my rods to a local auto body shop tobe done. Their painting enviroment is much better than mine at home. Wife hates the smell Good luck Bob What type of blank?

Solid, hollow, etc.? Heavy, light? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
