I have a clear decal that I purchased and applied to a rod I'm building. The problem I'm having is that the edges will not adhere properly and I know that if I put the finish over it, it will not be correct? Is there anything I can do short of undoing my decorative trim wraps and taking off the decal? I tried lifting the edges and carefully cutting it back a little but this does not seem to help. Did I do something incorrect in the application? Any suggestions would be of great help to me. Thanks to all who reply. Tom Re: Decal Application Help!

My only idea would be to firmly wrap over the entire decal with some A thread. Leave it to sit overnight and then just before you apply the finish take the thread off. By then the decal should have developed a memory and will stay put long enough for you to get finish on it. This has worked for me at least twice. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
