I can't seem to get LS Supreme to level. Does anyone know if I can put Flex Coat Lite over LS Supreme? Dick

Like all finishes, LS Supreme levels perfectly. In fact, that is your problem! First, you've got to have the rod perfectly level. Remember, the Supreme is working on level, not on the particular attitude of your rod. (Pour some Supreme out onto a counter top and watch what happens - it levels!)

Next, depending upon the particular finish viscosity, you can only put on so much per application and expect it to support itself. With the LS Supreme, I find that I need at least two separate applications on freshwater rods and up to three on larger saltwater type rods. Trying to do too much at a time can result in sags and runs that cannot be prevented by rotating.

Finally, yes you can apply Flex Coat Lite over the LS Supreme if you wish.

Hopefully, Ralph will weigh in shortly with some tips of his own. Keep in mind that there is a very helpful instruction sheet included with the LS Supreme that spells out some of the inner workings of this new type of epoxy finish. It is important that you read it. LS Supreme behaves slightly different than other epoxy finishes. Once mastered however, most agree it is an extremely good finish and quite easy to work with.
