Is there charts or formulas for flyrod guide placement in particular for flyrods over 9 1/2 ft. I have a 10 1/2ft flyrod I need to guide locations for. Is there any performance issue for placing a guide at the ferrels I notice this on many commercial flyrods. Ed Re: FLYROD GUIDE PLACEMENTS

A static/stress distribution test will give the best results and allow you to accurately figure where guides should go on any rod. For more information on how to do this just do a search here on this page's archives. Failing that, you might contact the manufacturer of your blank and ask where they suggest you locate them. Most are happy to provide that information to their customers. ................................ Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
