Printing Your Own Labels

OK !

I got a couple of the expensive sheets from Mudhole and want to print my own labels. I do desktop publishing, but figured I would see who would help out first. Does anyone have an avery lable size that is sufficient for most saltwater rods, spin, cast, boat , etc? I have my logo on file and all, but want to make these and see how they look.

Looking forward to some good stuff guys!!
thanks and tight lines and many sales!!

The 8160 are the small ones about an inch high by 2 or 3 inches wide. But a pack costs about $10. Why not just use a sheet of regular paper if you want to see how it will look? Move the logo around on the screen and get it to where you can get lots of them on each sheet. I use the copy and paste command to duplicate lots of them on each sheet.

Ron
There are a few that will work. You have to remember that those sheets from Mudhole are for inkjet printers. You can try avery 8667 1/2" x 1 3/4", or 8660 1" x 2 5/8", or 8257 3/4" x 2 1/4".
I was going to use the 8667 or the 8660 it looked like the best ones to use on most blanks.
Let me know how it works. I haven't used mine yet.

Avery

I have not found any Avery labels that I got reallly good results with. Their clear labels are a bit opaque and it really shows up on the rod. The white labels are not really good paper and the printing is not as crisp as it could be. I have done better using a very high quality ink jet paper and then cutting out and affixing with 3M 777 spray adhesive. I give it a shot of clear dulling spray [krylon] and then a coat of CP and then finish. Has worked very well so far.
