The Star of David. . .

Does anyone know how to start a six point star? I have a request to do a cross wrap with the Star of David but don't know where to start as most cross wraps are in multiples of four. Someone informed me that Joy Dunlap did this same cross wrap at a RodCrafters' Seminar back in the mid 90's. Does anyone know of it or saw how it was done? Any help would be appreciated.
Mahalo,
JIm

do you have Dale Clemmens book "custom rod thread art"? I think they may have that pattern or something close in it, or from the info they give you you could figure it out. Or maybe he new wrapping software, I haven't tried it as it is a little out of my price range right now, but it looks like it may help you.
