I made a cork grip on a mandrel, reamed, then slipped it down the blank. The end ring is a contrasting rubberized ring for contrast. The only problem is that to get the handle on the blank required reaming the hole to nearly 5/8". What is a good way to plug, cover, or totally avoid this? I prefer not put the traditional black cap on. Anyone out there have any creative covers for the end of the last ring? Re: Ideas on finishing grips

You can make a slurry of the rubberized material you reamed out and some epoxy and plug the hole with that. Or put some colorized pigment into a mix of Rod Bond and plug it that way. Or, counterbore a hole into the end of the ring and install an inscription/logo which you have made on your computer. Co-ordinate the back ground color with your wrap colors. Spray it with artist's matte fixitive, put a drop of CP in the counterbore, drop it in and let dry. Then smear another drop of CP onto the face of it and let dry. Then finish with your epoxy wrap finish. Lots of ideas here. Just use your imagination. ............................... Re: Ideas on finishing grips

If I am not mistaken, Anglers Workshop sells these type of rubberized plugs. At least they came with the finished cork grips with rubberized butt cap I bought. Billy Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
