Did a test wrap of a "Cool Parrot pattern I'm working on.
Learned a few things like the peace sign necklace won't fly as it's just to small. The pattern is only 40 X 122. Also, it's a must to use a larger wrap thread. This was all size "A" have "D" black but no "C" and thought I could get away with "A". No go! parrot is to wide especially at the shoulders and beak not right.
Jim Upton was nice enough to send me a screen print of his pattern to check out while doing the final tweaks on my pattern but the Q's I took from Jim's didn't work as well on this smaller pattern or maybe it was the wrap thread. We'll see on the next one. Colors worked great and at least it pretty tight!

Thanks Jorge,
Even though this was a test run for the pattern I decided to finish it out and keep it for my display.

Ray, use the "D" Black. All Gudebrod "C" is NCP so is very close to the same size as the "D". That will help a great deal in lengthening the Parrot and make the proportion more pleasing. You are doing very well, keep up the good work.

Excellent job on the color changes and your pattern does a very good job of implying detail that the threads aren't capable of showing. I'm looking forward to seeing the final wrap.

Ray, this came out nice. YOu need to add how longit took to do - the set up, to do the weave, etc. Is that a Truline, or a GReen Seeker you did the weave on?

Thanks everyone,
Billy, set-up was about 1 1/2 hrs, actual weaveing 6-7hrs and then thread repositioning and tightening 2 hrs approx.
I wrapped it on a Fenwick glass blank section now scrap.
