This I recall as being my first closed wrap(Loomis GLX 10wt) that worked and because rodbuilding for me was using Clemens products, I used Crystal Coat for the first time. After about 5 coats, I gave up. The trim band on the left looks awesomely flat, but the dec wrap wouldn't fill in as I wanted, so I gave up on the product.(spent a season tring to get a big Striper from the shore with this rod...nothing big, went back to bait, eels, and plugs)

Beautiful Mike. I also love the use of trim bands and accents in the tie off.

Is that the same 10wt I saw ?? I really liked that rod . Don't give up on the fly rod , you get a 20lber on it and you will have a tough time going back to bait . On the other hand there is somthing special seeing a bass chaseing a livelined bunker and sucking it down . Nice wrap ! JHenry

Thanks all....John, same 10 wt and I have to admit the last time I used it, I exchanged the fly line with mono and drifted mackerel chunks...finally got a 20# class bass on a fly rod!Lots of fun.
