Great idea Mike. Now I got to figure since I use Rod Bond, how to not bond the clamp to the cork.

I machined some split rings like Mike out of Delrin. Rod Bond or Ultimate Gel wont adhere to the delrin so you dont have to worry about it. You can also use a strip of waxed paper.
