Permagloss on butt wrap

Because of the "faceted" appearance, most builders wouldn't like Permagloss on butt wraps. However, on open wraps where you don't have a smooth surface to begin with, it's a nice change of pace from epoxy. With the angle of the lighting in this photo, you can easily see the "faceted" surface Permagloss gives. Some like it, some don't. Either way, it's a different look than epoxy - not glass smooth, but brighter and shinier.

Can it be used over other finishes to get the smoothe look but also the shiney effect.

It will become "faceted" over a smooth epoxy surface as well. It has it's own look and you really can't change it.

Not sure about the "look" of permagloss in the photo (looks like a one coat, two part finish job in the pic) but I 'm sure it would look different in person. I don't like permagloss due to the quik reaction time and high maintenance bottle. Maybe I'll try it on a closed wrap for the heck of it.... I like the white/blue /white bands you did at the start.
