Very well done. I like how you modified the neck area. How thick is the blank? Did you do one wrap at a time, or did you do both teh split & fore wrap at the same time, walking back and forth?

Thanks Billy and Jim. Billy I really hated the old style T-bird and re-styled the head area to point in one direction. The spacings were on 40mm centers and I did each area separately as there is a 30cm space for the front and rear grips + the seat. There are 4 repeat patterns on the 0 axis in the split butt and in front of the front grip area.

MArk, if you ever consider doing this again, take a look at this and see how I do it - [ link ] It's much easier doing both at teh same time, although you will have to adjust your grip instal techniques a bit - it's a big time saver over doing one entire wrap, then doing another one. REgardless, it came out really nice and time well spent. Keep up the A+ work!!

Mate I thought of doing it that way but the area left in the center for the seat and grips was way too much and it would have been a compete waste of a heap of thread. I was lucky, both wraps closed like a dream!

Mark, a complete waste of embroidery thread probably amounts to at most a total of $1. Saving a few hours is well worth the loss of thread.
