16 lb foam sleeved in carbon fiber. 2.4 ozs after reaming to fit CTS stand-up blank vs 5 ozs for a traditional slick butt. My boat loco from Decal Connection.

Richard, I am very interested to see how this stands up to the abuse, It looks awsome, What did you use for a coating?

Me too Scott, not sure with the abuse of heavy offshore fishing. Although, I can say that the 16 lb foam is like cement. I have shown it to the NERBS at a few of our gatherings and the guys have been rather abusive to the samples, even standing on them on concrete steps. I have tried various coatings, this one is EnviroTex lite. It is certainly thicker than the spar varnish but should not yellow as much and in the end the weight is still less than half that of a standard slick butt. This one finished up at 2.2 ozs and will not require any bushings or tape and much less epoxy to install.
