Grip feels good but I have toooo many dimples in the finish. It seems like the sleeve did not get 100% filled with epoxy and the spar urethane gets wicked into tiny little holes in a couple spots. It works great, just needs some cosmetic touch-ups.

If you'll go back and read the article, you'll note that a second epoxy "filler" coat is used to cover the skin which is then sanded back to smooth and only then is it coated with the urethane. The result is a perfectly smooth surface.
