Abalone scanned and printed on matte white decal media. One coat Threadmaster Lite. First glance looks real. Lacks the depth and shimmer of the real thing but looks pretty darn good though.

Lookin Good! Put on some Ray Bans and print on the Holo Shine! Then the rod can be used as a Emergency Flasher when on the water.

Bill I printed some out on the silver but haven't put it on a test dowel yet. Will try with the holo as well. I have yet to make a decent decal with the holo type media. Way too much going on and for some reason no matter what I do my color saturation isn't enough to cover the holo well. Although with the abalone not covering the holo well would be a good thing.

The holo paper will be almost overwhelming - it'll look good but not like natural abalone since the color bands will run parallel. But it'll still look good - just different.

The holo and silver papers don't work as well as the matte white. Due to the silver/grey of the paper the colors don't look right. Darker than the natural look. I'm sure the color, brightness, and contrast levels could be used to give a more natural look but...
