The easiest way to finish off the seat on a no foregrip rod is with the use of the rubber end caps sold for capping the end of size 16, 17 and 18 nylon seats used on fly rods. If you want to do any thread or decal work ahead of the cap, some models, like the one shown, have a recess which allows you to apply epoxy, stand the rod on end, and fill the recess smoothly without having it flow up beyond the recess.

That's great to know. I have a drawer full of various rubber & plastic gizmos with a few that serve the purpose but finding just the right one can be a pain.
I'm sure gonna get me some of these.
