Nice Ling rods. Question, how do you like your Gusa MEga Mag as a cobe rod. I just picked up a 80 Mega mag, gonna extend it to 8 1/2 or 9ft. What weights are you casting with it and how is the distance? Wish I could get my hands on another 85 monster mag.

the mega mags are the best all-around cobia rods [3] i own, i can snap cast a 3oz jig, or lob a 2lb bait equally well, i've taken cobia to 84lbs and mahi to 53lbs on these rods as well as aj's to 70, again i can't say anything bad about these blanks except trying to find the 8 & 81/2ft models, i actually got my first 2 at the nautical flea market in the fl keys for $45, for the pair!
