Finished Mom's crappie rod. I used Forecast components from Al and Bill at Midwest Rod and Reel. I used a 7' RX7 IP840 blank, pipe style reel seat, Chrome guides using NGC and Forhan locking wrap. I turned the grips using pine. The decal of Elvis was applied over a white thread wrap. The name was done using a tutorial I found that was authored by Dave Rogers. Under the name decal I did a tiger wrap with white/black underlay and gold Gudebrod as the top color. In the sunlight the name realy pops. And yes...she said she'd go fishing now.

Nice job! First "shakey hips" rod I've ever seen too.
