Clever idea - the line always wants to move towards the direction the load is being applied from (which is why you can't use rod spine to eliminate rod twist). So with these guides, the line is free to move to the top of the rod on the forward cast, and then to the bottom while fishing. Neat idea, but the guides would likely be cumbersome.
