A checkerboard jig drawing. Designed to making 36, 30, 24, 20, 16 and 8 piece "wagon wheels". The model has a lid which compresses the ring and keeps it firmly in place while making a cut. The flat sides are machined so that the jig could be mounted to a bench better.


This is only a plan/sketch and I have not made the jig yet. It will be made of steel which should make a lifelong lasting jig.

It might help for future reference, if you put a description of what these are for. Especially for those who don't read the thread on the Main board. And if you come back here 6 months later to try to remember what you were doing, you'll have to search for the thread on the main board.

I'll go with a "japanese flush cut" type saw like the more experienced folks have recommended.
