This is my just completed Rainshadow XST 1025 9 foot salmon spinning rod. The front area is clean so that fighting the salmon is comfortable, no threads/etc there, the curve at the rear of the cork fits the thumb for one handed casting, and the whole foregrip is substantial and comforable for when you just have to hang on. The butt grip fits my hand well and is the right distance from the reel for good two handed casting. I used the new concept system and am pleased with how it casts. I used medium gray Gudbrod without CP, so the guides, exc for the trimmed first guide, just disappear on the rod.

That's a good looking rod. Looks like it means business.

Thanks Tom, I can't wait for salmon season. But it's not a 1025, it's an XST 1084-I have a hard time with all the numbers. What a wonderful country we have where we have such choices!
