I really appreciate the kind words from everyone. Most of all want to thank BillyV and Paul R,. as those guys are great teachers, and seem to really enjoying sharing their craft with anyone that has an interest in learning. The first time I went to a gathering and saw it done, I knew I had to get a bandsaw and lathe. This was my first attempt, and now I'm hooked. I look at all of my old poles and think "oh boy, now I have to tear all those plain black EVA grips off and re-do them".
