Very nice work Paul. What do you use for the thin grey pieces? I have some craft foam, but nothing that thin. Again great job on this it really makes for a great grip.

Thanks for the comments. I ripped both the purple and gray strips on my band saw off of a solid block. Make sure that you cut more strips than you think you will need. You need 1 xtra thin piece for the end of the herringbone, and you can use the rest for trim rings. You don't want to reset the fence if you run short on pieces.
