This was built by a friend for his Daughter, named Hudson. He built this with no instruction, except for a 15 minute Q&A session with me after he saw Bart Simpson skateboarding on my foregrip. He has no lathe, did all the sanding by hand. He also dug the grip out with an exacto, no cheating with a router or dremel.

Believe me, I didn;t do much. It was the first time I met him, I gave him a quick run through and that was it - I didn't want to talk about rodbuilding, I wanted to fish. lol. I actually told him doing letters is very, very difficult, but I guess he proved me wrong, huh? And it's in script, which is somethine I would never try again.

Those thin lines are glue lines, not foam. He did not use Weldwood, he used some other Contact Cement, which dried a little hard in the seams. If ou want lines like that with Weldwood, you would put a lot of it on each piece, and let it dry, making sure there is a lot of excess glue - press teh 2 pieces together. The only problem with this is you won't be glueing foam to foam (like you normally do with thin cement), you are glueing glue to glue and run the risk of splitting the grip. Thick cement leaves more of a glue line than brand new fresh Weldwood.

He gets my 10 and I hope he stays with grips and not weaving. He could put me out of business. Totally awesome. I still see your handywork or in his though Billy. It is ok to take some credit. You deserve it especially if all you did is talk on the phone.
