Ken -- Actually this was my third attempt at a close (1st was two tone star, 2nd was a St. J Vari), but my first successful close without an ungodly amount of overlap and losing patterns in the front and back. I had been using a ruler with 32nds of an inch as my measurements and when I noticed this and used MM - everything lined up! I was pretty jazzed, regardless...
Rob -- I used Madeira threads 1869 and 1658.
Billy - Your book is now my GOSPEL (one I preach) of your impeccable Internet reputation...lol.
