With all the looms on the market, not knowing the most functional design, I based my 1st homemade loom on the "wonder weaver". (the amount of time it took to make...should've just bought something thats proven to work)

I build up a masking tape "arbor" and then block it off with a larger tape arbor to the inside keeping it from moving in.

Yeah! I do...Building your own tools is just as rewarding as building a rod...I love the pictures of homemade lathes, looms, clamps, dryers etc.. the first rod "lathe" I built was by cutting "V" notches in a cardboard box and running thread through a closed book (tension device,info came from some pamphlet or book) The box didn't work out too well...so I went to the hardware store.
