Catskill rods is a partnership of me and Bob Venneri hence the wonderful wood. Yes the blank was hand planed. The only thing we bought were the guides. Thanks for the kind comments.

Beautiful work Robert. Walnut looks a piece of crotch wood. Excellent piece of Walnut for grips.
